The ProPulse® waterproof cape when used during ear irrigation procedures is proved to be the most effective way of minimising mess and patient discomfort. Many surgeries appear to use torn off pieces of couch roll, however this is known to move around and doesn't prevent water leaking through onto the patients clothes.
