Pads are placed on the front and back of the victim as shown on the pad diagrams. When the paediatric PAD-PAK is inserted into the AED energy delivered is reduced to 50J. The pack comes with both the battery and pads in one simple to replace cartridge. So there is only ever one expiry date and only ever one component to replace.

Rather than have a large, expensive (and heavy) battery in a device that may never be used and costs you a lot to replace the battery, HeartSine have come up with the single-event pad-pak concept. After an event you have to replace the pads on any defibrillator – so its no harder to replace a pad-pak. This means less weight, less cost, less confusing overlapping expiring components.

• Designed for use on children from 1-8 years old or under 25kg/55lbs in weight.

• Battery Type: Disposable single-use combined battery and defibrillation electrode cartridge. Lithium manganese dioxide.
• Battery capacity new: >60 shocks at 200J or 6 hours of battery use
