The BD Eclipse SmartSlipTM is a single-use sterile needle with an after-use safety mechanism that covers the needle point. When the needle cover is activated, it protects against accidental needlesticks during normal handling and disposal of the used needle/syringe.
The SmartSlip Technology consists of an adaptor that allows the eclipse safety needle to be connected to a luer slip.
