Kaltostat Calcium Sodium Alginate dressing is a soft, sterile dressing made of calcium-sodium alginate fiber that converts to a firm gel/fiber mat on contact with fluid. It is designed to absorb exudate and to help control minor bleeding. Kaltostat Calcium Sodium Alginate dressings can be used on moderately to heavily exuding wounds including:

Pressure injuries (Stage I-IV)
Venous ulcers
Arterial and diabetic ulcers
Donor sites
Superficial burn wounds
Lacerations and abrasions
Traumatic wounds
After surgical wound debridement
