What is a Vaginal Speculum?
Vaginal speculums are commonly used in GP surgeries, NHS hospitals and gynaecology clinics. A healthcare professional will apply a lubricant to the blades of a speculum and gently insert it into the vagina to spread the vaginal walls and create a clear view of the cervix.
