This is a one-piece Cytology brush designed to optimise cellular yield in Pap smear specimen collection. It provides 600 separate collection bristles for the simultaneous collection of cellular material.  

A safety ring just below the bristle head will decrease the possibility of the brush entering the endometrium during collection. If using the convention testing method, transfer of the cells to the slide can be easily done with a painting action, applying first one side of the bristles and then the other.
