The Pelispec Uterine Sound has a thin, flexible gauge with 1cm indicators. It is supplied in white to enhance visibility and assist the practitioner measuring the uterine depth before inserting an intrauterine device. Due to the rounded end, the instrument can be gently inserted into the uterine cavity through the cervical 'os'.

To avoid cross infection, the Pelican Uterine Sound is sterile and single use.
